Mohamed Salah, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Darwin Núñez

Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp provided an update on Mohamed Salah, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Darwin Núñez ahead of the FA Cup match against Southampton. Although they narrowly missed out on the Carabao Cup final, their availability for the upcoming match is uncertain. Klopp mentioned that they would assess their fitness and make a decision based on that.

After the Carabao Cup final, Klopp jokingly mentioned that he might have to talk to the medical team, as both Szoboszlai and Núñez showed no signs of injury during their enthusiastic celebrations.

It remains to be seen whether Salah, Szoboszlai, and Núñez will be fit to play against Southampton.

Thiago Alcântara

In a sad blow, Klopp revealed that Thiago Alcântara's season might be over due to an injury setback. His contract with Liverpool is also set to expire at the end of the season, raising doubts about his future with the club.

Thiago recently returned from a long-term hip problem and seemed to be finding his rhythm. However, he suffered another setback, which Klopp described as relatively serious. Injuries have plagued the midfielder throughout his time at Anfield, greatly impacting his performances.

Ryan Gravenberch and Wataru Endō

Ryan Gravenberch sustained ligament damage during the Carabao Cup final after a harsh tackle from Moisés Caicedo. While the injury could have been worse, Gravenberch will be sidelined for at least the next two games.

Wataru Endō, the Japanese captain, also picked up an injury during the final. Klopp revealed that Endō took a 'proper knock' and hasn't shown much improvement since the match. His involvement against Southampton remains doubtful.
