McAvoy and Zacha Placed on Injured Reserve

Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney has announced roster transactions that include placing defenseman Charlie McAvoy and forward Pavel Zacha on injured reserve.

McAvoy, who stands at 6-foot-1 and weighs 209 pounds, has played in 21 games this season for the Bruins, recording three goals and 14 assists. In his career, he has played in 401 NHL games and has accumulated 44 goals and 203 assists.

Zacha, a 6-foot-4, 207-pound forward, has played in 26 games this season and has contributed eight goals and 11 assists. Throughout his NHL career, which includes stints with both Boston and New Jersey, he has played in 494 games and has scored 98 goals and 157 assists.

Recall of Patrick Brown and Parker Wotherspoon

As part of the roster transactions, the Bruins have recalled forward Patrick Brown and defenseman Parker Wotherspoon.

Brown, a 31-year-old forward originally signed by Carolina as a free agent, has played in eight games this season for Boston and has recorded one assist. He has played in a total of 146 NHL games, scoring 10 goals and 15 assists.

Wotherspoon, a 26-year-old defenseman from Surrey, British Columbia, has appeared in three games for the Bruins this season, recording one assist. He has also played in 19 games for the team's AHL affiliate, Providence, and has contributed one goal and four assists.
