Beard Motorsports announces plans for 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season

Beard Motorsports has revealed its plans for the upcoming 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season, which includes a four-race schedule. The season will kick off with the Daytona 500 on February 18, with driver Anthony Alfredo behind the wheel of the No. 62 Beard Motorsports Chevrolet. The team, founded by the late Mark Beard Sr., has been competing in the Cup Series since 2017 and is excited to continue their passion for racing.

Beard Motorsports' 2024 Season

Beard Motorsports has announced its plans for the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season. The team will be competing in a total of four races throughout the year, starting with the Daytona 500 on February 18. Driver Anthony Alfredo will be driving the No. 62 Beard Motorsports Chevrolet in the season-opening race.

Founded by the late Mark Beard Sr., Beard Motorsports has been a part of the Cup Series since 2017. Following Mark's passing in 2021, his wife Linda Beard has taken over as the team owner, with their children Amie and Mark Jr. managing the team's operations. The team made its Cup Series debut in the 2017 Daytona 500 with former driver Brendan Gaughan.

Excitement for the 2024 Season

Amie Beard, executive vice president of Beard Motorsports, expressed her excitement for the upcoming season. She shared that the team is thrilled to be back on the track in 2024 and is grateful to have Darren Shaw as their crew chief, along with the majority of their crew and pit crew returning for this season.

Preparations for the Daytona 500 are already well underway, and Beard Motorsports has some exciting plans in the works that they are looking forward to sharing later on. Their main focus is to get back to the track and continue doing what they do best - competing and having fun.

Additional Races and Driver Announcement

In addition to the Daytona 500, Beard Motorsports has confirmed its participation in three other races. The No. 62 Beard Motorsports Chevrolet will compete in the NASCAR Cup Series GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway on April 21, the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona on August 24, and the YellaWood 500 at Talladega on October 6. Anthony Alfredo will also drive the No. 62 Chevrolet in the April Talladega race.

Alfredo, a NASCAR Next alumnus, has been making a name for himself in the racing world since his debut in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2019. With 38 career starts in the Cup Series, Alfredo expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to race in the NASCAR Cup Series and the Daytona 500. He is excited to drive for the Beard family, known for fielding great cars in superspeedway races.
