The character of John 'Jagger' Cates is making a comeback to 'General Hospital' after more than 15 years. Actor Adam J. Harrington has taken on the role, which was originally played by Antonio Sabato Jr. The character was last seen on screen as part of the spinoff series 'General Hospital: Night Shift'. Harrington's middle name is coincidentally John.
Harrington made his debut on the daytime drama series on February 2, 2024. In his first appearance, his character, now going by his first name, John, met Carly (Laura Wright) outside Bobbie's eatery, which was named after Carly's late mother, Bobbie Spencer.
In his previous storyline, Jagger had become an FBI agent and was a single father to an autistic son named after his late brother, Stone Cates. Jagger and his son eventually relocated to San Francisco, where Jagger pursued his law enforcement career.
